I wrote this last night in like 10 mins.. It popped in my head so I had to write it as fast as possible before I forgot it. I have NO idea where it came from. I haven't thought about the war or anything like that in a long time. The conversation I was having when it came to me had nothing to do with anything political.
ReplyDeleteNow when you read it, don't get me wrong. Like I said I do stand behind our forces, the job they do is amazing. But I just think it's time to come home and start focusing on our own land and issues instead of dying in another country for reasons unknown. I know we are there to "liberate" them and try to get them on their feet, but with the amount of resistance both from radicals and the people of that country, I don't see this happening. And I know people can say, "You're not over there. Things are changing and getting better." Maybe. All I see is the soldiers on the news coming back in coffins and bags. Maybe we are doing some good over there. If so I think there should be more coverage on the good. But that would be against the agenda.. and I wouldn't have anything to bitch about. Take that in and enjoy.
