Here is a world, silenced and gray,
Taught to hate, nothing to say?
Motionless, unknowing,
Mindless, ingrowing,
Dreamless, uncaring,
Future is, unbarring,
Mother nature stuck on life support,
Is it to late? Do we pull the plug?
Watch as she drifts away,
Eyes closing, rolling back,
Hold her hand as she passes,
Mother of all life, is gone,
Gone is a world, dull and dead,
No longer breathing, all has been said,
Did we do what we could?
Did we live how we should?
Are we reading to face, what it is that you fear,
Alone, depleted and no more tears,
Maybe we shouldn't live like this,
Are we losing the precious gift,
Did you even give a shit?
