Day Off

So I have slacked away a lot of the week. Only one work out day, but it's going to be a slow process to change everything about who you are into where you want to be. I will try to work out today when Danielle gets home. She is out doing some last minute Christmas shopping. We were done, but there is a few things she wants to pick up. We actually have had everything and even had it wrapped for 3 weeks or so. Not bad.

So today is my day off.. doing a little housekeeping things. Laundry - done, Dishes - Done. Getting ready to start some lunch and get the kids down for a nap. It's been an awesome day! We have so far watched Despicable Me (one of the funniest cartoon movies in a long ass time), How the Grinch stole Christmas (cartoon), and now Frosty the snowman (cartoon) all while running around playing Hide-N-Seek with the kids. Logan loves it, but keeps hiding in the same spot. So now I look for him last.. lol. Still going to have to knock out Rudolf before nap time.. love this time of year! Snow on the ground, coffee in my hand, kids chillin.. hells yeah!

Later tonight got my staff Christmas party!! Should be a good time! Hope I win a TV!

Being Santa

HO HO HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS.. and stuff...
So as you may or may know I was asked to be Santa at our compay children's Christmas party. I said yes and thought of it as an honor. It wasn't until I was yesterday that it made me think how much of an honor it was.
1 - It was the koolest thing ever! Kids light up like crazy when they see the big man and I was on the other end of that. Sure there was a kid that said Santa wasn't real, and there was a lot of little ones that were scared of me.. It was worth it seeing all those other kids light up. My son is scared like crazy of Santa and my daughter is very clever. So I told her that I was asked by the real Santa to help out and she couldn't tell anyone. She didn't! She was awesome about it.. I think she got lost in the whole thing.. cuz she lit up too and when she looked at me.. it wasn't her looking at Daddy anymore.. it was something more. We also showed my son it was me. He watched me get dressed.. and when it came time to get a present from me.. he wanted nothing to do with me.. lol.
2- It was also really kool to me because I have only been with the company for 3 months, and they have trusted me with something like that. That's kinda awesome to me. Like I said, I really like the place I work now. Sure there are things that are annoying, but that's work right.
So remember, I have a list.. prolly wont check it twice.. that will take too long.. So don't piss me off you wont get a second chance.. lol..
HO HO HO!!

UFC 124: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck 2

Wel well well.. anyone watch the fights this weekend?? I for one did. It has become a monthly ritual in my house for my wife, bro and I to gather round and watch MMA. Love it. Its not for everyone, I get that, but there is a reason is the fastest growing sport out there, and that it's making its way into all new markets as you read this. Yes it's a sport, as were gladiators. If you don't like it, don't watch and don't read this.. go play tennis.

So this was particularly interesting for me due to the on going feud that we got to watch blossom watching the TV show, the Ultimate Fighter this season. Mostly we saw how much of an asshole Josh Koscheck is. And I know everyone keeps saying that he is just doing it for the camera and it puts money in his pocket. Well GSP is a man of honor and few words and I think he is doing just fine. I love that he is Canadian.. but I respect him for the way he carries himself in and out of the cage.

It was a great fight. Kos didn't think he would stand and throw with him and he was super wrong. How wrong? Oh, broken Orbital Bone wrong. GSP came out and did what he said he was going to do. "Bully the bully." And he did it well, jabbing and out classing him in every aspect. I enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one!

Man

Well shit.. I didn't keep up on this like I wanted too. But that's gotta change. I'm know it sounds lame, but 2011 is going to have a lot of changes. And I need to do it. I want to lost at least 30lbs. Thats the minimum. Time to make sure that this body will last till my kids grow up. And I have to get back to my writing. I have so many projects that are just sitting there on hold. Too much dicking around. Plus I have been pissing and moaning for years that I don't have a band or a musical outlet.. and then what.. two buddies send me tracks to do vocals on and I have let them sit there for months.. lazy bastard!!

No more.. if this time next year I'm not 30 lbs lighter and have some finished projects I might just jump off a mountain. I am serious.. time to really do something with my life.. I finally have a job I don't hate going too.. my kids and wife are awesome.. now it's time to do a little ME work.

MOVEMBER!!

So it's that time of year Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for prostate cancer. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.

October 28, 2010

So whats up everyone?? I had a great day of pumpkin carving getting ready for my favorite holiday.. HALLOWEEN!!! Really excited to take the kids out on Sunday. As you can see above that's the finished product. The one on the left my wife and daughter did and the other one was my son and I's. The one I did is the same sorta design I do every year. The traditional triangles mixed with my creepy smile.
I'm currently watching a movie called "Slither". I don't know if it's because it's on TV that it sucks or the movie is just shitty but I think I'm going to turn it off. I haven't posted any new movie reviews since I changed jobs I don't watch nearly as many as I used to. OK screw it.. Slither is off.. and I should hit the hay.

Happy Halloween Y'All!!!!!!!!!

An Angel Named J

This is the poem that I wrote and said during my cousin Jason Glenn Graham's funeral this weekend. It was one of the hardest things I have had to do...

An Angel Named J

On November 26th, 1974 an angel was sent to earth,
To the rest of us that was simply the day of his birth,
He was instructed to teach man kindness, and love,
To develop a warmth that surrounds like a glove,
He was good at his job and the people would flock,
He had friends of all ages, and was always willing to talk,
On Sept. 11th, 1996, in GT’s Roadhouse & Grill,
Ms. Winia walked in, and the earth stood still,
Love at first sight intrigued our angel J,
And that’s why Sept. 20th, 1997 would be their wedding day,
Our angel would go on to live a normal life,
Raise 3 gorgeous boys with his lovely wife,
Little did we know, our angel would have to go;
On October 9th, he was called back to heaven,
For us it seemed tragic, 2 years short of 37,
His last acts on earth? Save his wife and youngest with a quick wheel jerk,
Then his organs helped both young and old,
A true hero our angel, listen to what you are told,
He is now upstairs, watching down on us,
We have to use what he taught, about love, patience and trust.
Thanks for everything, Love and miss you Jay!

My cousin

So my cousin Jason Graham was in a horrific car accident on Sunday afternoon. It was him, his wife and 10 year old son in the car. A flatbed tow truck drove through a YIELD sign and plowed into them. Jason's wife Mandy and son Chris both had minor injuries, but Jason was air lifted to London hospital in critical condition. He is now in a coma like state fighting for his life. The driver and passenger of the tow truck, scratches. WHY? Why is that the way it always happens. The person who fucks up and breaks the law is the one that walks away. I'm currently not wishing ill will on those people, I don't have anything left, everything is going to positive thoughts for my cousin that hasn't awaken yet. The doctors have run tests on him and I have heard (since I live way the hell over here now) that he has responded so some of the brain stimulus. Which is good, progress is progress. His spinal chord has 2 breaks that could mean if/when he wakes up he might be paralyzed. Which would be awesome, at least he is alive. He makes his living with computers and would be able to continue after I'm sure A LOT of recovery and rehabilitation.
Jason is one of the strongest people I have ever known. He has gone through a lot of tough shit in his life and for once he has been doing really good. He went back to school and got his degree and has been doing really well. His wife Mandy is great. She is a little nutty, but has really grown on me and the family. They have 3 kids Jesse, Matt, and Chris. With everything going for them they really need their father and I know if anyone can come back from this it's Jason.
I don't pray, and no I'm not making this into any kind of a debate, but if you do I ask you to throw a prayer in there for Jason to pull this one out. If you don't pray then send some good thoughts out into the world. Every little bit helps. Sorry if I keep going on and on.. .I can only clean my house so much before I had to find something else to do with my hands. Thanks,

Greg Giraldo

So... this sucks. One of the funniest guys ever pasted away today. At the age of 44 do to an "accidental overdose". I don't know man. There are sources that say he didn't mean to OD. I don't know what to say anymore. Think about all the celebs that have accidentally OD in the past 2 years. It's crazy, no one is thinking "holy fuck, I should stop doing this shit before I die!" What I don't get is why Heath Ledger, why Brittany Murphy and NOT Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. Why is it the talent that is dying off and these wastes of skin and money are still kicking. IF YOU HAVE ANY TALENT PLEASE STOP TAKING DRUGS YOU DONT NEED, and mail them to the Jersey Shore kids... please..

Do yourself a favor and go watch the Comedy Central Roasts, and listen to "Good day to cross a river." Laugh your ass off as that's it for a comic legend that no one seems to know or care about.. RIP Greg..

My Bad - A recent dream

OK OK OK sorry for not writing in awhile... I'm going to try to get on here more.

So there is this dream that I have been having for some time now. It never really starts the same but I always end up at a mansion that is.. well I don't know... haunted, possessed, I don't know. One time I got it through some crazy inheritance (which I also think is a Steve Guttenberg movie, but that's another story). Another time I won it some how.. anyway..

So this dream started out with me and a bunch of people walking thought the woods. I think this part came from an episode of supernatural I was watching. They were in the woods. So it was me and some people from school, old friends, my wife.. we were all going down this path, and it didn't start out like a nightmare.. you can usually tell "shit I'm in a nightmare, somethings going to happen." We were all just laughing and hanging out walking down this path in a forest. We then come to a cabin... it's a large cabin and happens to be in the middle of the path. At first we aren't sure what to do because we want to go around it but we don't want to into the place that wasn't ours. We then decide that we will just go through it and explain it if we need too. We open up and there are people sleeping everywhere. We all try to be as quiet as possible so we can get through and not bother anyone. So we are all going as slow and quiet as possible. It's weird though cuz they weren't dead but as still as if they were. So as we are maneuvering our way through the people this place slowly seems to becoming larger. It should have been very quick to get through this cabin. I suddenly get this vibe pulling me into a certain direction. I tell everyone to keep going and I will catch up. As I walk through the door into another room I go into that tunnel vision and realize that I'm now in that mansion. All I can hear is my own breath. There is is creaking noises around the room. I'm paralyzed. I try to run or move but I can't. I can't do anything. All I can hear is my breath and the creaking getting louder. Things begin to float around the room. I'm pushed to the ground very violently.. now laying on my back still unable to move. I try to scream and nothing comes out I can hear my breath.. I try to talk in a normal tone and I can. "What do you want, what are you?" I get out.. I'm feeling very oppressed. Nothing answers me.. I can't explain the feeling.. absolutely helpless. I can feel there is something there in the darkness. Watching me, controlling me. I then think since I can speak I should try to speak as loud as I can.. maybe someone can hear me and help. I begin to say HEY, louder and louder then finally I say it loud enough that I yell out loud and wake myself and Danielle. It was crazy.. It's never got that far. In the others I get to that part of the house and I feel something there.. it's more powerful than a ghost or spirit and I am instantly have overwhelming fear when I get to this room. I dunno.. it's messed up, part of me wants to keep having it since it's progressing, but at the same time, it's sooo scary..

What's new?

So whats up people? I have been off here for a few days. Lot of moving and shaking going on. I have recently found a new job that I start later this month! Looking forward to it. Not going to lie, I was kinda hoping that my current employer would have tried to fight for me or counter offered something. I love the place I work at, sure there is a lot of work that needs to be done, but name a place that doesn't right. You never know, I am still here for a few more days, maybe the will realize they are going to be missing out... just saying.

So I think I put up that I have been working on a studio and music with my brother, if not, I am. I have a buddy from back home that is a crazy guitar player that has some stuff that he has sent me, so I am going to record some vocals for that stuff while me and my brother get our stuff up and running. There is another guy I know that is a pretty decent rapper, I think I have mentioned him on here before, he has showed an interest in doing some writing with me. I don't know however if there has been any mention on what I am into. I'm a... vocalist is guess. I normally do things like metal, hardcore, death and so on but I want to work on all kinds of things. I'm not a great singer, maybe not even a good one, but I want to do some hard rock, maybe an 80's ballad or acoustic tunes. I also have an interest in rapping, so who knows. As long as I get to do something like that it would be sweet.

Writing... as well I have recently started re-working a movie that I have been on and off again writing for the past couple months. Some other interest that have really started to peak my attention is writing a TV show and a comedy movie. I have some digging to do to find the ideas a couple buddies and I had a few years ago. The TV show... as crazy as it sounds, needs to have puppets. I have an unnatural obsession with the Muppet's. I was also a big fan of Greg The Bunny. Some people might know it... most prolly not. It's funny if you can check it out I suggest you do so. It bridged the gap between the PG Muppets and adult humor. Which I think is just a good time. Also check out Unhappily Ever After, pretty funny stuff. I want to go even further with it. Strictly adult humor with humans interacting with puppets. I am sure it's prolly been done, I don't care... lol.

-- So just to put it out there... If you are a band that wants to collaborate with a vocalist in the Calgary area ... if you want to make a TV show (or internet show) with puppets... LET ME KNOW... lol..

Movies - Review for the past couple weeks #4

Hey so I haven't been watching as much as normal, but check out these.. lot of good ones in my opinion:

Movies I have watched in the last little bit:
...........................................................
Inside – This is a French horror flick that got passed on to me. I watched it dubbed in English. This is by far one of the craziest movies I have seen in a long as time. This is a nonstop gore ride. I don’t want to get too into it in case some of you freaks want to watch it... lol. But this one had some parts that for myself were hard to watch. Very twisted... the story itself was pretty kool when all was revealed. Now I’m a gore guy, but I think this one is actually good enough to have stood without as much. I think that some of the story gets lost because of all the “mess” that takes place. If they had cut back just a little, you would have one hell of a movie. Check this one out if you dare... and only if you have a strong stomach.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inside_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGeV7ejT74Y
...........................................................
Martyrs – I had seen this one on a lot of horror “best of” lists so I thought I would give it a try. I don’t get it. There was some kool parts in the beginning and in general the story is pretty decent. BUT, I wouldn’t call this a horror movie or a gore movie. It’s interesting, and I think some things are lost in translation (French dubbed movie), but in all it’s not one that I would put on any lists other than this one.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martyrs_(film)
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNM9kKo4JNU
...........................................................
High Tension – This was another flick that is a French horror that I had passed along to me. This one was pretty good. I liked it. It had the right amount of gore and thrills to keep your heading running! There is one part that I really enjoyed... I will leave it to you to figure out.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Tension
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yrbfbvqg1o4
...........................................................
Zodiac – I know this one is a few years old and a lot more main stream then I have had on my lists, but I really wanted to see it. Something about a serial killer that has never been caught that is intriguing. Just check this film out, read the wiki about the Zodiac killer. It’s all pretty crazy.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac_(film)
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flSl1eONbz0
...........................................................
Shutter Island – I felt like I was on drugs with this one...lol. If you have seen it you know exactly what I am talking about. The changes, the twists and turns, really incredibly done; it all makes sense in the end... or does it? Scorsese is the freakin' amazing. Enough said.

Burning Ash

It's in the air, the stench of death,
Wasted youth drips from your breath,
Turned around, flipped upside down,
Everything sleeps, inside the ground,
And down below, it fucking grows,

Yeah! Growing deep in the sin,
Yeah! It's breaching the skin,
Yeah! Heart of glass, ribs of tin,
Coiled burning ash left within...

Fever turning, body shaking,
This could be the last breath I'm taking,
Knees weak, wrists break,
How much more will I take?
No one knows, but down below, It fucking grows,

Yeah! Growing deep in the sin,
Yeah! It's breaching the skin,
Yeah! Heart of glass, ribs of tin,
Coiled burning ash left within...

Finally snapped, breaking out, repent? I doubt it,
Can't give a shit, slit wrist, shot gun hate,
Filter ripped, spitting blood, Time to get ready for the flood,
1,2 Where to go? Down below... it fucking grows!

Lost Soul

I'm tired & broken, no one knows me,
This is empty, And so are you,
Feelings not growing, passion exploding,
This is twisted, And so am I,
Silent escape, this wretched place,
This is cold, And now so are you,
Vapor snaps, these words my clutch,
This is dead, And so am I

Blood lust lurks outside the door,
Melting pot of rot, right through the core,
This poor lost soul can't find it's home,
Buried six feet deep, with his name on a stone!

Faceless ghost, mindless ghoul,
This is the unseen, And so are you,
Hands are shaking, eyes are blurring,
This is silent, And so am I

What's this feeling taking over?
PAIN, DISTRUST, DISCOMFORT!
What is happening to me?
RAGE, AFTERMATH, LIAR!

LIAR LIAR...can anyone save me?

Speak All Evil

Full blown hatred seeing out of every pore,
Shut your fucking mouth while I even the score,
Piece by piece breakdown your kingdom,
Freight train of pain rolls on through crushing YOU!

Kick down the door then kick in your teeth,
Respect is earned and you're not keeping peace,
Cripple your body like you crippled my trust,
Skull to pavement = boot set to crush

You didn't think it would come back to me?
Fuck you and your distorted reality,
Wasted youth, wasted talent, wasted life,
I'm living better with my baby & wife,
Forgiveness is a thing of the past,
Now you find yourself out on your ass!

Deep set pain and soul inprisionment,
Ignorance is bliss, now that your living it,
Two ways to get high, you're taken the wrong path,
You should have known it wouldn't last!

Silence, don't say a fucking word,
Rambling on and mouth is blurred,
Poison shooting as you talk,
No longer will it put my body in shock!

NOW SILENCE

L.S.W. (Love Shot Wound)

Come on breathe!

Your love it hits me,
Shredding all my vitals,
Bending my out look,
Twisting my reality,

Kisses, make me, forget just, who I am,
No longer, broken man,
Parasite of shit can't breathe,
Get your fucking head up!

My Demons are burning!
My vision no longer clear, L.S.W shredding tears,
Puddles growing all around, knee deep and may drown!

I'm breathing death all day,
Time to sow the threads of this sin,
I focus on the pain,
Never fully giving in,

LOVE SHOT WOUND!

I am the pouring rain,
I want inside your prayers!

This pain is burning, this day becoming night,
Tattered, unwilling, feelings to take flight,
Heart beating, loves bleeding...

Movies - Review for the past couple weeks #3

Here's the latest list of flicks I have seen. Some actually really good ones. Make sure you check them out. Hit me with a comment on any of these with your opinions or movies you think I would like. For some of these the less I wrote means the more I liked them and didn't want to give anything away. Thanks!

~Dog

Carriers – Well... this movie is friggin’ depressing. There is one part where I actually teared up. Even thinking of it now is giving me a lump in my throat. Now this part to normal people I’m sure won’t make you think the way I do. And I’m not going to go into detail about it, but it was difficult for me to watch. The movie in a whole is pretty good; I mean it’s entertaining enough to keep you watching. But if you are like me I ALWAYS put myself into the movie and with this one... no thank you. Feeling alone like that would be worse than death.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carriers_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwH4bxNK8Os
...........................................................

ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction – Not a lot I can say about this one. It’s along the same vein of “Shaun of the Dead”. You have a zombie/comedy. It’s pretty funny. Kinda a kool concept with it being a terror type attack. In my opinion, there is no such thing as a bad zombie movie. The cheesier the better I say!

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZMD:_Zombies_of_Mass_Destruction_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7fudSMOva4
...........................................................

Someone’s Knocking At The Door – Now this one was wild man. It’s a totally throw back to the old grindhouse flicks. It’s in and out, you honestly feel like you are on drugs while you are watching this movie. What’s real? What’s not? WHO KNOWS! I don’t even know if this film is out yet. I got a copy passed along to me, so I checked it out. It’s not bad. The start is kinda slow and it almost lost me. Just as I was about to turn it off it started getting better. The sound editing is off. The music is too loud; there are sections where I couldn’t hear the dialog. Which might have been what the director was going for, OR it is simply an unmastered copy that ended up in my hands. It’s worth watching, but it’s very weird... I want to say it’s original, but like I said it’s really got the old gore flavour.

Wiki: None yet.
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8Ltdi0Bnu8
...........................................................

Push – I know that this came out last year, and I hummed and hawed about watching it. I wish I hadn’t waited. I love movies like this. Ones where there are people with powers and abilities that are way kooler than what we got going on. Plus it has a 15 year old Dakota Fanning and the dude that played the Human Torch. I suggest if you like movies like X-men or movies with a lot of twists and turns, check this one out. I really enjoyed it.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Push_%282009_film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afT1fAwSr-Q
...........................................................

Alien Abduction Incident in Lake County – So... if you watch the trailer, it’s more of a documentary on the actual footage. So this is what’s up with this flick. There was a home movie that... may or may not show an actually alien abduction. The version I watched is a recreation of it. I’m going to try to find the original one to watch. There is a lot of speculation on if it’s real or not. I guess that really ends on what you believe. The clips in the “trailer” seem more realistic and that’s why I want to check it out. I believe there are things out there that we can’t explain. Check it out... and if you have an original copy, please hook me up.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_Abduction:_Incident_in_Lake_County
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVEDSiWzpPM
...........................................................

The Midnight Meat Train – Great little gore flick. Huge twist at the end, which I still don’t really get but it’s pretty awesome. Great story, lots of blood and guts, and that’s what I like. LOL. Honestly if you like horror you will enjoy this one. Fight fans watch for an appearance of Rampage Jackson!

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Midnight_Meat_Train
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk4u8dOOEcE
...........................................................

Grown Ups – This is probably one of the best “friends” comedies in years. The whole time all I could think about was how much this movie is like me and my friends from back home. Literally that’s what we do. We sit around poking fun at each other and remembering the good ol’ days. Plus as much as I like Sandler’s new batch of dramedies, but this one has none of that really heartfelt want to cry your eyes out stuff. It’s a great one to watch with a group of your closest friends.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grown_Ups_%282010_film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZB44Ea1A0k
...........................................................

The A-Team – I liked this one. It’s got a lot of action in it and its super funny. I thought Rampage Jackson did a really good in it. The one guy... I can’t remember his name (I never watched the TV show), but he’s the crazy guy. Man was he funny.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-Team_%282010%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xay-wurHPA
...........................................................

The Shortcut – This was alright. It’s the first flick from “Happy Madison’s” new branch called “Scary Madison”. The story is done by the guys that did Granma’s Boy (awesome movie). So I was a little nervous about how good a horror movie would be by them. It was well done. Good story, little cheesy, but all in all decent.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Madison#Scary_Madison
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWaQcQTvLYM
...........................................................

Knight and Day – I’m not a fan of Tom Cruise, but this was pretty good. There are some pretty funny parts and some good action sequences. Still not a fan of Tom Cruise. LOL.

...........................................................

Predators – I’m a huge fan of this series and I was a little nervous when I heard that Adrien Brody was in it. I didn’t see him as an action star... and I still don’t. I found him annoying. He kept talking all low like a “bad ass”. It reminded me Christian Bale in the batman movies. Now since I am such a big fan I’ll say it was good, but it wasn’t as good as the rest of the saga.

Date Night – This was hilarious. Tina Fey is freaking hilarious. The bonus features are the funniest part of the flick. That and Steve with his issues with Mark Walburg. Just watch it you will laugh.

The Book of Eli – Pretty sweet. I won’t ruin it, but it’s worth watching. The messages that are throughout the movie are spot on. I’m sure that most people won’t get it.

Trip To The Mountains

Had a pretty good weekend. Went to the mountains with the fam, saw a lot of wildlife. It was pretty awesome! Got into a crazy controntation with a neanderthal... that's the best way to describe it. It was insane, I have never seen anyone act like that. Even when I did security, the oeioke were pretty reasonable. Now have you ever been soooo mad that every part of you has to hold back from doing something equally insane? I have had my adrenaline get going pretty good.. but this time my whole body went numb. I couldn't feel my hands for about an hour after this. It was actaully kinda kool. Not in the sense that it's something I want to do all the time, but in the sense that I am happy that even though I was that far, and this guy was really asking for it, that I could still tell myself to turn and walk away. I am sure he will get what is coming to him, and that's all I need. I didn't get beat up and I didn't do something I would regret infront of my kids.
Other than that craziness it was fantastic! I looooove going to the mountains and lakes that there are to offer here. Something so surreal about the whole thing. Seeing animals just walking on the road or right up to you like "ya, this is my house." blows my mind. I have another movies list coming up tomorrow night I think. Been knocking them out lately. More good then bad this time around. I have kooled it on the "B" movies as of late. 90% of it's the same old shit. And I know that really nothing we do is new anymore, but there are still some great ideas out there. You never know maybe you have one.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PPL?!?!

** VERY VULGAR **

My co-worker told me not to read the paper.. I didn't listen! MAN, I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED! I can't believe the shit I read this morning. There is a day care in Edmonton (STONY DAY CARE CENTRE) that has had their license revoked. You want to know why.. CUZ THEY AREA ABUSING THE KIDS! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! Some of the problems they have found.. some kids were force fed until they puked.. THEN they were forced to eat the puke mix with the food. These people need to fucking die! It might sound harsh, but I think this is something that needs to be done. People need to be reminded that they can't harm children.. poor helpless children. Some kids were humiliated after having toilet issues.
THE BEST FUCKING PART!!!!!! - The government was aware if complaints against the day care SINCE 2008 and again in 2009??? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?? WHY? WHY does our fucking government not go in, charge these assholes, close down the fucking place and burn it to the goddamn ground. So the day care was issued the notice on July 9th and it doesn't have to close until July 15th?? C'mon.. close the shit down NOW! The government should step in and set up something for the families of this place and help them get into a new facility. They knew about this shit for 2 years. They should cover the day care for these families until they can get one themselves.

This is one reason that I will NEVER put my kids in day care. It might sound crazy, but shit happens and when you have little ones they don't know to tell you or they are told not to tell you.. it's a fucking nightmare!

I just paused and had a 15 minute rant with my coworkers.. lol.. There needs to be some criminal charges pressed against all these people and them never work in the industry again. I could go on forever on this..

Things changing..

So.. there have been some things that have happened lately. As my 10 followers know by now my wife got a job driving for a delivery service. She was rear-ended on Monday (July 5th) by a drunk Russian 19 year old. There was a 16 year old in the car as well. Both were drinking from the open vodka container that was in the front of the vehicle when the slammed into my wife's vehicle. She has some severe whiplash that put her on the couch for over a week pretty much in tears daily. I took some time off to help her out and let her rest.

The other bit of news has been that my uncle died last week. It's weird, cuz we didn't really get along with him in the later years, but I still feel a loss. I think it's more pointed toward my cousins with them losing their father. He wasn't much of one, but still there is that part of you that will forever hang on to that little slice of paternal life you will always wish you had. I think it's going to be the same when my father passes. We aren't close, I have tried, and I have cut him out, and I have tried again, and so on. The most I have got from him in the past years is updates on my facebook status. At this point I expect nothing from him, and it seems to be working. Low expectations, that's the key. Which is sad, but I'm actually happy for the first time in a long time dealing with that shit. I know I'm stemming off topic a little. Maybe it's just me wrapping my head around this shit. Anyway.. sleep tight!

New Music

So I wrote about the new Eminem disc and my thoughts and junk. Well there is a couple others that I can't remember if I mentioned yet or not. Parkway Drive has a new one out called "Deep Blue", which is fucking phenomenal! I was never a big fan of these guys at first. Nothing against them, just always flooded with new music so some things get passed by. BIG MISTAKE. This album is killer man, balls out the whole time, lots of layers... get it. Big your head hard! Makes you want to punch something, or someone. Love it.

To keep the love going there is also a new disc out by one of my favourite bands: Fear Factory. Now in the last couple albums I'll be honest... it kinda feel to shit. The reason I started listening to these guys is the fact that they were heavy and fast as shit man! Blistering drums, chasing guitars and a vocalist that could both melt your face with his screams and then hit you with some operatic melodies seconds later. The new disc titled "Mechanize" is super insane. It's exactly what you want from them and more. Thank you baby Jesus for showing these boys the way home... or whoever you believe in.

So... the album I don't really want to talk about but feel I have to is Ozzy's new one. The album is titled "Scream"... Now.. It's Ozzy so it gets an automatic pass. Anything he ever does will. If you don't like that.. well.. I got something for ya.. that's all I will say. SO anyway.. Zakk Wylde is not on this album. I have heard different reasons as to why. Wikipedia states that it's because Ozzy was starting to feel that his albums were sounding too much like BLS albums. In my opinion that can't happen. Why? Cuz Ozzy came first. Zakk wrote for him before there was a BLS. Therefore BLS sounds like Ozzy only with a worse singer. I'm not saying he can't sing.. he's just not Ozzy. So we got Greek power metal axe-man Gus G. from "Firewind". Yeah I have no idea either. The single "Let me hear you scream" is really the only song that I truly dig on there. I haven't made my way through the whole thing since I have so many new artists and stuff I'm trying to cram in, but so far.. not so good. You be the judge.. enjoy.

Some albums I can't wait to hear are:

Hell Yeah - Stampede
Korn - Korn III - Remember Who You Are
Stone Sour - Audio Secrecy
Murderdolls - Women and Children Last

If you have anything you want me to listen to hit me up. I am always looking for new bands to listen to, movies to watch, and so on!

10 lbs?

So... as some may know I work overnights at a company. There are a few of us that have decided to lose some weight. We have given ourselves 1 month to lose 10 pounds. Now, I haven't really dedicated myself to it until this weekend. So I kinda short changed myself on time, but that just means I have to work harder right?.. lame. Any way, I'm going to throw my progress on here so you can keep up with me and see if I fail or not. If I do fail I will then become a speed eater or something to really gain some weight..lol. I would like to drop around 40lbs. We will see... stay tuned...

June 16 - 274lbs

Growning

Days are changing, some say far to quick,
How quickly she has grown, it makes me feel a little sick,
Gone is her crib, made way for a "big girl" bed,
Ten thousand thoughts, now bouncing around in her head,
"Let's go outside", perfectly articulated,
OR "No, go away" has often been said,
No matter what comes out, her eyes speak the truth,
The carefree days that accompanies youth,
Between Sunday dance parties, or head banging to metal,
Daddies little girl refuses to settle,
Now the day is spent, bed time routine must be met,
There is so much to be done by sunset,
Wrestling match, PJ's, brush teeth and a kiss,
I know one day, these are all the things that I'll miss.

Nuh Night

She sleeps, quiet, calm,
Each breath, tiny, sweet,
I smile, holding back tears,
I never thought I could love like this,
I watch her, I need to take it all in,
She will be grown soon...
Not too soon I hope,
A young dad swallows the lump in his throat,
She stirs, eyes open, a smile,
"Daddy sleep." she says tapping the side of her crib,
I lay my head as we do every night,
She puts her head back down,
Her eyes fixed on mine,
"Daddy sleep." she says pointing,
"I will my love. You shut your eyes too."
As her eyes close she gives me that "LaLaLa" look,
She sleeps, quiet, calm,
I walk silently out the door, at least I try,
Floor creeks, door squeaks,
Time for mommies and daddies to go to sleep,
Nuh night my love...

* Hugs & Kisses baby, Love Daddy! *

Father's Day - WEEKEND!

Sooo.. I had an awesome Father's Day weekend man. The wife and kids picked up a patio set for our back yard and it's great. We spent the weekend with cold drinks in our hands sitting out watching the kids play in their pool. For dinner we had BBQ steak, Caesar salad, baked potatoes, ice cream, OH MAN! Needles to say the diet took a break this weekend. Back at in tomorrow though.

Happy Father's Day to all the guys out there that are REAL fathers out there!!

Movies - Review for the past couple weeks #2

So here it's been a few weeks and I have been cracking out the movies. I have been watching some old some new and some good and some shit. I watch a lot of "B" rated horror movies since I want to one day get the balls to do it myself. I really should finish the movie and short story I have started, but as you know I am lazy as shit. So instead I watch movies and dream about things I could be doing if I actually tried. Here are some of the flicks I have watched in the past few weeks:

......................................................................................................

Chloe – This movie was not what I had expected. Don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed it. There is a tone of nudity and erotic descriptions on situations. I thought it was going to be a chick flick, but that it would have that thriller aspect to make it interesting enough to keep me from falling asleep. IT’S PERFECT! I think my wife was taking back by the amount of breast going on, but all in all it was a good concept and well executed. I say watch it for sure.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chloe_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhYiQNmI1VI
......................................................................................................
Dark Lurking – This is just your normal alien outbreak movie. It’s alright, but if you never see it you wont miss out. Just watch Alien.

Wiki: Does not have one.
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r2sEgTEv38
......................................................................................................
Against The Dark – OK so check this, “In a post-apocalyptic world, destroyed by a disease, which may or may not turn people into some kind of vampires or zombies.” Do I have you so far? Now add in the fact that the leader of the vampire killing squad is Steven Seagal? BOOYA! Shut up and watch it. It’s one of the good kinda terrible.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Against_the_dark
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXFMcgEfp-k
......................................................................................................
The Reeds – This one was kinda dumb. There are still parts I don’t get. Some boaters get lost and there’s “something” in the reeds of the swamp coming for them. As you watch it it seems like it’s a good concept and has mass potential. In the end I felt let down. It was alright enough to keep me almost interested but not satisfied.

Wiki: Does not have one.
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz1PTJWehME
......................................................................................................
The Dunwich Horror – Stupid. Do not watch.

Wiki: None
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrqudBk4mgU
......................................................................................................
Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach – This was freaking hilarious! Seann William Scott with handle bars. Enough said. You will laugh until you pee, I swear. It’s like if Stifler became a creepy washed up tennis pro. Some of the moments are so awkward, but so funny!

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balls_Out:_Gary_the_Tennis_Coach
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKy_bvHa1wU
......................................................................................................
Triangle – This movie was a complete mind F**K! And I loved it. It’s classified as a horror flick but it’s not. The cover would make you think it’s a slasher.. It’s not. What it is a ride that is sure to leave you scratching your head. I’m not going to give you anymore than that. Check it out and get ready to get dizzy.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Triangle_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65JP4wVVCOQ
......................................................................................................
Shaun Of the Dead – I know this came out in 2004, but I never got around to watching it. I started watching it last month and got so bored I turned it off. I have had a lot of people tell me to watch it, “you have to get through the dry beginning”. So I did and I actually enjoyed it. I think that there is a lot more that they could have done with it. Horror comedies are great, and this was worth a watch.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_of_the_Dead
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfBewQPFdKE
......................................................................................................
Jackass: The Lost Tapes – Not a lot I can say. If you have seen Jackass before then you know what you are in for. Some people can’t watch this, I find it hilarious!

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackass_%28TV_series%29
Trailer: There isn’t a trailer, but if you search it you can watch different scenes.
......................................................................................................
Hot Tub Time Machine – This is one of the funniest movies I have seen in some time. It’s silly and unexplainable, but super awesome. I’m a huge John Cusack fan so I might be slightly biased but screw you...lol. Plus there is sooo many Mötley Crüe references you can’t help but bang your head and want to party hard!

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Tub_Time_Machine
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DCFPS58KYY
......................................................................................................
The Wolfman – The previews got me interested in this one. I love werewolf movies (minus Twilight, hoping I never see it). Then I started watching it and it’s bitchin’! There is gore and limbs flying everywhere. I didn’t think it would be as graphic as it was, but I love me some gore. The story line was really good... I liked the film.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wolfman_%282010_film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JB1NY2xut8
......................................................................................................
Wrong Turn 2: Dead End – It was good, not as good as the first one, but tolerable. As usual with sequels they went for more blood, gore, violence and I’ll say thank you. But the story was meh. It’s the same as the first one... mutant hillbillies chasing down pretty young people. The only thing that really put it over the top for me was Henry Rollins in army fatigues slaying mutants!

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrong_Turn_2
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMVF3bEu3e8
......................................................................................................
Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead – Umm... is the horse dead? No? Ok keep beating it. I don’t get why the hillbillies got smarter with every movie. They are supposed to be stupid inbred, mutated freaks. But in this one there is elaborate “saw” type traps in the woods. **Spoiler alert ** At the end they leave it open for another film. So let me get this straight. There has been what 50 or so deaths in this same area and the government hasn’t gone in and bull dozed this forest and every freak in it? I think if they make another one that’s what it should be. Have the army go in to clean up the hazardous waste, a couple people get killed but these super elaborate traps and then all hell breaks loose. They napalm the area and then pave it over, make it a Wal-Mart and see t-shirts with “Three-finger’s” face on them at discount prices. THEN at the end have a freak come in and start killing people with a bow and arrow... roll credits.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrong_Turn_3:_Left_for_Dead
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FictxrM5q7c
......................................................................................................
The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard – I really had high hopes for this. I am a big fan of Jeremy Piven’s work in Entourage. There are some laughs but I could have done without seeing this. Kathryn Hahn is the best part of this movie. I laughed every scene she was in. The rest... boo.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Goods
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDXuLtz58Gs
......................................................................................................
A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010) – From the get go when I heard about this film I was not happy. Why? The absence of Robert Englund that’s why. He IS Freddy Krueger. He has been for years, and will always be that character. Instead they got Jackie Earle Haley. No thank you, I would like to return this. I asked for Freddy and got a shitty Rorschach. I get it they wanted to take Craven’s film and “make it scarier”. But then they didn’t consult him on anything and in turn he said the film was shit. Agreed Wes, agreed. The only part that got me excited was the last 10 seconds of the film. Platinum Dunes raped the Friday series and then found it’s next victim. That makes them serial classic movie rapist, and I am sad.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Nightmare_on_Elm_Street_%282010_film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0i6V22chTM
......................................................................................................
Borderland – This one is from 2007 and somehow snuck by me. It’s wild and it has Sean Astin in it. Check this one out.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borderland_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb1hO0qkeKU
......................................................................................................
Dark Island – Not good. There is like a mist monster thing like on Lost. And there is an island... like lost... And it sucks like lost... lol.

Wiki: None
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZZiDLCMu0c
......................................................................................................
P2 – This was pretty kool. Great concept and very well done. I’m not going to blow any details, just check it out.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P2_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYEgrQ8kdmw
......................................................................................................
Reykjavik: Whale Watching Massacre – Sooo... The reason I checked this one out was because it was described as “Texas Chainsaw Massacre on a boat”. IT’S NOT. Check it out if you want... but you have been warned.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reykjavik_Whale_Watching_Massacre
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQgNRCHfgMk
......................................................................................................
Severance – This is horror comedy. It’s got some good gore and a couple laughs. I thought it was pretty good. As a side note there was a 17 year old murdered by 3 other guys after watching one of the scenes from the movie. They did it as it is seen in the movie, they were all convicted of the murder last year. Stoopid people man.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severance_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVwBVm7yVE4
......................................................................................................
Youth in Revolt – Michael Cera is the freakin’ man. Enough said. He seems to do a lot of odd comedies and totally pulls it off. His alter-ego in this mad me laugh like a mad man. Check it out.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youth_in_Revolt_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbJyaO97QPY
......................................................................................................
She’s Out Of My League – As much as I like Jay Baruchel, I actually fell asleep watching this one. It was pretty funny, but not in the same leagues as some of his other flicks: Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Tropic Thunder, or Knocked up.

Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/She%27s_Out_of_My_League
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWJJGXvL7PM
......................................................................................................

So that's what I have been up to the past couple weeks. I'm going to start watching some TV shows.. I might rate them, not sure. I'm going to try to finish The Soprano's and going to start True Blood. Enjoy.

R.I.P. Earth

Here is a world, silenced and gray,
Taught to hate, nothing to say?
Motionless, unknowing,
Mindless, ingrowing,
Dreamless, uncaring,
Future is, unbarring,
Mother nature stuck on life support,
Is it to late? Do we pull the plug?

Watch as she drifts away,
Eyes closing, rolling back,
Hold her hand as she passes,
Mother of all life, is gone,

Gone is a world, dull and dead,
No longer breathing, all has been said,
Did we do what we could?
Did we live how we should?
Are we reading to face, what it is that you fear,
Alone, depleted and no more tears,

Maybe we shouldn't live like this,
Are we losing the precious gift,
Did you even give a shit?

My Stone

I am the one, dripping with sin,
You are the gun, splitting my skin,
Digging the grave, of unfortunate life,
Creeping in flesh, like master's knife,

I am the tomb, seal you within,
Flesh taken from bone, with a sadistic grin,
I will put you back, right in your place,
This is the last time, they will see your face,

Hell fire lights the way back home,
"A Real Father" etched across my stone,
Not afraid of sacrifice,
Fist over fist for a better life!

I am the dead, sleep deep in your head,
Forget all the bullshit, that you are fed,
Cuts on the wrist, map out the pain,
Tears of despair, washing the red down the drain,

Hell fire lights the way back home,
"A Real Father" etched across my stone,
Not afraid of sacrifice,
Fist over fist for a better life!

Broken down barricades, a paper trail of renegades,
A loose noose, dangles in the doorway,
Torn relations, is all the play,
No fix - No fight - No fucking end in sight!
I will never be you! NEVER BE YOU!

Bring the Kids Home

Your son is not coming home,
Died in the desert, all alone,
Fighting for a country, that doesn't believe,
Working for a military, that just wont leave,
You may be proud, now you have to grieve,
A folded flag is all you will receive...

Boys grab your guns, I'll show you something fun,
No time to debate, kill them to liberate,
A country filled with pain, something we can't tame,
At least we will get the fame,

Your daughter won't be home for dinner,
She's on her way to slay the sinners,
Bringing freedom to those who hate her,
Or is it the oil we want for sure?

Girls grab your guns, I'll show you something fun,
No time to debate, kill them to liberate,
A country filled with pain, something we can't tame,
We may only get the shame,

Children fighting a senseless war,
When there is troubles here; at our shores,
Re-evaluate what is going on,
Before our future stars are gone,
Before they get the chance to shine,
Focus on OUR economy, OUR people this time,
I stand behind our troops, I do,
But why they are there, is not for me or you,

Children grab your guns, I'll show you something fun,
No time to debate, kill them to liberate,
A country filled with pain, something we can't tame,
At least the will know our names,

Bring them home!
Please, bring them home!

Passed up Again...

So boys and girls.. for those of you who have been following along with me know that I have been waiting to hear on promotion... well I heard.. or read I guess. So I got passed along, I was supposed to hear on Friday and didn't. So I called and was told letters were being made up for all the candidates. I was told that they would come in on my shift Sunday night and talk about. There was no one there to talk to me. I came in today and there was a letter dated for Friday saying I didn't get it. I would rather been told on the phone then something impersonal like a letter attached to my time card.
I don't want to get into a bitchfest, but I am upset. I know what I am doing and I know that what I am doing now does not use me to my full potential. I don't even use a quarter of my intelligence. Maybe one day they wake up...but it might be too late.

I know that I will get there sometime. Someone will see everything that I can bring to the table and give me the break I deserve. Until then I will just keep on keepin' on man. Continue to write on here more, start writing some music, etc... maybe finally get to do something I really give a shit about instead of the same old song and dance. Word.

Eminem - Recovery

OK, so unless you live under a rock you should know by now that the new Eminem album has been leaked. I'm sure it was done on purpose to muster up some press and get people hooked on this goodness early. With that said I have obtained the tracks and listened to each of them... several times now. I can't wait to buy this shit!
Em is back, and in a big way. Now, there is a lot of the same old same old on there. Talking about him getting sober, his mom, childhood, being a parent, and so on. What I like about it is that he has completely tightened his flow and is throwing out things that no other rapper would try. Some of the things he says and the way he does is insane. He even mentions how "the last CD was meh." Which is true. Yeah it is Em and yeah I got it. But all the stupid voices and accents really cheapened it for me. I like when he does it here and there to be funny, but due to the drug use it became more of a crutch I think.
Now with this record there are some awesome samples that are used such as in the song "No Love" where they actually made Haddaway's "What Is Love" (you might remember it from the SNL skits, night of the Roxbury, or EVERY dance if you were in school during the 90's!) sound awesome. And the song that has been stuck in my head for days now is "Going Through Changes" which features the Ozzy banging out the chorus from Black Sabbath's "Changes"
All in all I liked the album and I'm glad Em found his way through the darkness. Some of the things I didn't like were all the sing song choruses that he did. It started to feel like they were all similar. He raps, he sings, he raps, he sings, he raps, he sings - end song. But the raps are sooooo freakin' good you don't mind. Just my opinion, I don't need some die hards coming after me. lol. Either way bump this shit and enjoy!

~Dog

Hmmm

So.. whats new? Things have been crazy busy for me. My wife got her job with UPS! So that's awesome. We are still waiting on hearing about mine... soon I hope. If I do get it then we have to start looking into a day care or something for the kids. I don't really like the idea of that. When my daughter was younger we had some bad experiences with one. She got beat up and bitten by other kids. It actually just put a lump in my throat thinking about it. She is sooo precious. Same with my little man. It pains me to think about someone hurting them or worse. The fucking world we live in scares me. It's so hard to trust people you don't know.... I know I know.. calm down and wait to see what is going on.
We moved into a new place. It's pretty awesome. It's nice having everyone on the same level. I think it is helping the kids sleep. Almost everything is unpacked. Mostly just putting pics on walls now. Put together a BBQ today. Man was that a bunch of madness! Things are coming together pretty nice, cross your fingas.
As long as everything lines up I should be starting working out tomorrow. I have a wicked sunburn.. farmers tan. It's pretty dumb looking, I love it! So we'll see.

Big Changes - Meal Plan?

So.. I have been thinking about it and I think I want to lose some weight. Now I have been saying that for a long time now, but I think it's finally time. I lost 20Lbs a few years ago for a work biggest loser. We we moving and needed the money, so there was motivation there. Since then I have packed it all and more back on. Now I'm not huge (weight wise....giggity), but I recently got kinda winded going up some stairs, and that's not acceptable. I used to be athletic, played basket ball, road hockey and I as far as I am concerned I'm still the Hardcore Champion of REW (Roads Edge Wrestling.. totally awesome backyard wrestling federation that I had an active role in). My interests have moved on from wrestling entertainment to the world of MMA. I would love to learn some fighting styles, even possibly compete. The only way that could work is to lose a bunch of this weight. Which brings me to the big changes... I'm trying to upgrade my life. We just moved into a new place that I think is going to be great for the kids. Right now both my wife and I have interviews for better jobs. So I feel it only fitting to start working on my health too. I think I will set a goal to lose 20Lbs by my B-Day.. July 25. I have full faith that my wife will get the job she is going for. We'll see how my opportunity goes. If anything I should look damn sexy in a few months!

With that said... anyone know a good balanced diet or meal plan to get going with? I don't want to do anything crazy to my body, but this is something I really want to do.

To see her reaction???????

So I was reading the paper today and some son of a bitch here in Calgary put his baby daughters feet into a scalding pot of water. Now I know this happened last Feb, but this is the first I have heard of it. He pleaded guilty yesterday and his reasoning..."to see what her reaction would be." This fucking moron KNEW that the water had just been boiled to sterilize bottles for his baby. And he goes and does something like that? I WOULD JOYFULLY PUT THIS GUYS FACE IN SOME BOILING OIL! I REALLY want to see what his reaction would be.
I could NEVER do something to harm my child. This is one of the sickest things I have heard in a long time. Kids are something to cherish. I know it's drastic, but people that harm kids, ESPECIALLY on purpose, should be killed. There is no reason for it and no purpose for them in life.

Paranormal State

So, I just got all 4 season of Paranormal State. I freakin' love this show. I have already watched them all a few months ago, but I'm watching them again. Some parts are really cheesy, but there are some really crazy parts.
I personally have a lot of beliefs when it comes spirits. It's kinda funny though because I have never really believed in God, or religion. I have some issues with organized religion. I think (and its only my opinion) that some people need churches and organized religion as something to lean on. Some of those people are weak and I think that they are taken advantage of because of it. They end up giving money and time in order to feel better in their life. They drive 20 year old vehicles while the reverend drives a brand new Cadillac.....sorry I'm jumping off topic.
So, like I was saying, I had never really believed in there being a God or Devil, but I do think there is good and evil. I also believe there is spirits around us at all times. I have been touched by things and I see things all the time. I get crazy vibes, and shivers when I feel there is something around. So maybe I don't know what to believe. I watch ghost stories, scary movies, all kinds of occult things. As I said before I have been writing a horror movie that is based on some paranormal happenings. I had to halt writing a few months ago after I was seeing a lot of activity and voices. I know that if you do a lot of the research and stuff that I do it can open yourself up to the other side. I know this and when it becomes intense I drop all research and let things kool off.
Now the things I don't get is why I'm so drawn to it. I LOVE watching and reading things about the paranormal. I don't think I'm a medium or anything like that. But I am drawn to the unknown. Maybe that's just the way I am. I find it all very interesting. I think that if I didn't have a wife and kids... I might have perused something along the lines of demonology.
I have a friend that I was close with in high school that actually went to school and has since become a priest. If we weren't across the country I would love to get together with him and have some coffee. Really pick his brain of all things from the other side.

I don't know how you feel about this stuff, but let me know. Let's get some stories you might have or get some discussion on beliefs. I know that belief systems are huge, so if you have strong feelings it's OK to post. Let's not fight about anything or get into that whole mess. That's not the point.

Unable To Finish

SO, I have been taking some to evaluate myself. I have a couple of projects that I have been "working on" for some time. I have a horror movie that I have been working on for a few months now. I haven't been able to finish it. Not because I can't, I just don't. In some ways I understand because it's not what I had originally wanted to write. It's changed, which I knew it would, so I think that is part of the deterrent. I think the other is that I can always say that I am writing a movie. I have even started writing a short story that has stalled out. Maybe I'd just an idea man. I have different ideas all day long. This would make a great movie, this would be awesome as a TV show. OR, maybe I'm just lazy or lack focus. Maybe if I buckle down and really hone in my creative juices I can really finish some of these works. I think that writing is what I want to do with my life, but I lack the clarity to make it work for me. I hope this comes with time, but not too long. I feel this blog has helped to keep me writing. It has helped so I can write about different things and my writing has slowly begun to start rolling again. We'll see. I'll try to put more posts on here. Thanks,

Movies - Review for the past couple weeks

So what's up ya'll? Anyone that knows me knows I love me some movies. Here's a list of some that I have watched in the past few weeks. Some are old some are new, hit it:

Legion – This was pretty kool. Plus it was a different concept then a lot of movies out there right now. I like movies like this where things are not how they are supposed to be. Reminds me of movies like Constantine or even the quest Bartleby and Loki go on for revenge in Dogma. The thought of angels having resentment toward humans is genius. Why wouldn't they? Check out this flick and the other two mention in this review for sure.

......................................................................................................

Trick 'r Treat – I really liked this flick. I love how it’s a couple intertwined tales that wrap in and out. It reminds me of old school Tales From the Crypt / Creepshow / Tales From the Darkside; kinda vibe without the creepy narrator. Really great movie to watch on Halloween or like me, on a Tuesday.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jh0DwJZjz8

......................................................................................................

The Fourth Kind – Totally awesome, and scary as hell! I am sure that most people with think it's crap. For someone like myself that believes there are other entities out there, its shit-ur-pants awesome. I'm not going to go into it at all, just watch it. Hell, watch the trailer before bed...lol.

......................................................................................................

The Drawn Together Movie – Funny, pointless, nothing more than I would expect from these guys.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXx_cyfN49M

......................................................................................................

Splinter – Strange and inventive take on an outside organism interacting with us and our planet.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJndd5Eyz18

......................................................................................................

Cop Out – This was pretty funny. Sean William Scott made me pee a little bit... a few times.
Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cop_Out_%282010_film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17jr2D3mzps

......................................................................................................

The Bounty Hunter – It was alright. Not as funny as I thought it would be. It was one of those, "all the funny parts were in the trailer" kinda deals. So here, watch the trailer aaaand you're good!

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rLlPWIAMYs

......................................................................................................

The Crazies (2010 & 1973) – I thought this was pretty good. Kind of a zombie-esque but you have the government running you down too. Take a second and think about how bad that would suck. So I watched both movies and I actually enjoyed both. I though they actually come off a two separate movies. The 1973's version is basically centered around the army and them trying to cover things up. The 2010 version is mostly about the townsfolk and their crusade to get out of the town alive. It's all the same premise, but it's kool to see both sides.

......................................................................................................

Defendor – I like this flick. At first I thought it was a rip on Kick-Ass or something because I didn't see anything about it until Kick-Ass came out. It's not. It' s only similar cuz the main character dresses like a superhero. That's about it. The rest is a pretty interesting story about a guy that takes on... pretty much an alter ego. Give it a shot, but watch the trailer first.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do7ur4ji7r8

......................................................................................................

Kick Ass - This was not what I thought it was going to be. It was WAY better. Lot of action, some good laughs, you are going to want to see this one.
Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kick-Ass_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrKHu2UX1vA&fmt=22&annotation_id=annotation_400852&feature=iv

......................................................................................................

The Losers - I thought this rocked. Funny AND there is pretty much non stop action. I also love movies with snipers. Enough said. If you like flicks like Die Hard, you need to hit this one!
Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Losers_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypdB65jNpu0

......................................................................................................

How to Train Your Dragon - This in my opinion is one of the best animated films in years. It's soo well done, and the characters rock. This is great for kids OR adults. I might be slightly bias since Jay Baruchel is Canadian, but that is beside the point..lol.
Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Train_Your_Dragon_%28film%29
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKiYuIsPxYk

......................................................................................................

Mother's Little Helpers - Now this flick is in post-production, so I have no idea how I got a copy. Either way I though I would give it a try. It sounded OK with Kyle Gallner (Jennifer's Body, A Haunting in Connecticut) as a guy trying to pay his school tuition by starting an escort service. It also has Denise Richards in it as one of the cougar's looking for the young boys to rock her world. Now let me tell you, this movie is freakin' terrible. The acting sucks, the story telling sucks and at the end I found myself saying, "this is it? Eff that." Now everyone should make up their own opinions, but I warn ya, you'll want that time back.
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1198075/

......................................................................................................

Is it bad that all these were just in the past couple days? There are a few that I'm leaving out for now and in a few weeks I'll throw another post on.
