Watched this last night with my sister. Both of us are big fans of the stooges and therefore had very high expectations. We were not let down. There were quite a few big laughs. In some areas it did seem that it was a little cluttered, but I think they were trying to get as many of the old jokes in as they could. So I let that slide. And the kid that plays Moe in the young scenes at the begining is amazing. Its almost haunting watching him. Totally had it down. And then Chris Diamantopoulos did a good job as adult Moe, but it wasn't great. The other two guys though! Sean Hayes kills it as Larry. There were times I totally thought it was the real deal. And I have always been a fan of Will Sasso and he did curly justice.
All in all they did the boys justice. The movie is not for some, but thats the same way that its always been. Either you find slapstick funny, or you don't. And the Stooges were the kings of it! Long live the kings! Have fun, and enjoy! Nuk' nuk' nuk'!

These clowns always made me laugh as a kid. I remember getting so excited to see the reruns on TV. In a time where nonsense movies like Jackass are seen as ‘funny’, it’s nice to see some comedy that isn’t as insulting. I have heard mixed responses from both friends and Dish coworkers who saw the movie, and they ranged from ‘it’ was good to ‘it wasn’t as good as the original.’ I haven’t had a chance to see it, but since I’ve added it to my Blockbuster @Home queue, I will see what everyone is talking about and be able to make my own opinion. I hope there are a few good laughs!
ReplyDeleteYeah for sure give it a watch and see what ya think! I was laughing pretty hard at a couple of spots. As long as you are a fan of the stooges and know what you are getting into before hand, you will enjoy it.
