So.. I watched the Simpsons last night and they opened with their rendition of Ke$sha's Tic Toc. Although it was well done, I'm still a little saddened. Those of you who know me know that I really don't like Ke$ha. Now I don't know her, or much about her. But I know I hate her music. I know hate is a strong word, but I stand behind my decision! It just doesn't make any sense to me. Tic Toc and then her other one that came out that was all about sex and skankiness.. I have no problem with a woman being strong and confident and sexual, hell I'm 100% FOR all that. I just find her to come off a little whore-ish if you will. As a father of a young girl I can tell you that this kind of shit is not listened to in our house. I guess there must be a lot of "club sluts" out there that listen to the radio, otherwise why is it played. Music is in a sad state. In general, everything is auto-tuned and always about making money or bitches or what have you. Remember when people had stuff to say. Meaningful things that had real substance to it. There is still some good music out there, but don't look for it on the radio. Look in the garages around your neighbourhood.
Lost a lil respect for the Simpsons, but I am sure they will regain it.
