The Expendables [Directors CUT] - A Review

As anyone who reads this and know me, knows I loved this film. What can I say, I grew up watching all these guys kick some ass. And Stallone will forever be one of my favourites. Rocky has a special place in my heart. Just saying. ANYWHO, so the theatrical cut was good. But nothing compared to the directors cut. Lets put it this way, my brother bought it on BluRay for the second time, its that good. WAY BETTER.

Most of the heat I heard when it came out is that there is nothing too it, the story line sucked, all there is is shit blowing up. Ya I agree. The reason: they cut out the story. They made it all about the action. This verson is only 10 mins longer and it explains everything. And its WAY funnier. Some of the comments are totally unscripted, you can tell by the reactions. It still has all the stuff blowing up and all the action, but there is a tonne more heart in it.

Honestly if you watch it I know you will agree. And some people will say they like the theatrical and that's totally kool too. I say give it a try though.

With that said I can't FREAKIN' wait to see Expendables 2 this week. I will have a review on here as soon as possible! You can't go wrong! lol. Enjoy.

Three Stooges (2012) - A Review

Watched this last night with my sister. Both of us are big fans of the stooges and therefore had very high expectations. We were not let down. There were quite a few big laughs. In some areas it did seem that it was a little cluttered, but I think they were trying to get as many of the old jokes in as they could. So I let that slide.  And the kid that plays Moe in the young scenes at the begining is amazing. Its almost haunting watching him. Totally had it down. And then Chris Diamantopoulos did a good job as adult Moe, but it wasn't great. The other two guys though! Sean Hayes kills it as Larry. There were times I totally thought it was the real deal. And I have always been a fan of Will Sasso and he did curly justice.

All in all they did the boys justice. The movie is not for some, but thats the same way that its always been. Either you find slapstick funny, or you don't. And the Stooges were the kings of it! Long live the kings! Have fun, and enjoy! Nuk' nuk' nuk'!
